Position Overview

An Independent CRNA Opportunity in a Rural, Patient-Centered System

As a CRNA in this dynamic, rural Wyoming health system, you’ll be stepping into a role designed with autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance at its core. This position supports two hospitals—a 25-bed critical access facility in Douglas and a recently acquired 16-bed hospital in Casper (Summit)—giving you the chance to practice across diverse settings while remaining rooted in a collegial, close-knit team. Whether you’re drawn to the rural charm of Douglas or the more modern infrastructure in Casper, this opportunity allows you to help shape an evolving anesthesia service in a region that truly values its providers.

The organization is intentionally building a nine-person CRNA/MDA rotation that fosters collaboration and ensures stability. As part of a growing health system that champions independence, you’ll be more than a provider—you’ll be a valued voice helping define best practices and patient care priorities across both sites.

Meeting a Community Need

This position exists within one of only eight or nine truly independent hospitals in Wyoming. With both campuses serving geographically isolated populations, your role will directly contribute to elevating access to high-quality surgical and obstetric care. Providers here are seen as vital community members, often developing long-term relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

  • OB services currently only in Douglas, with call coverage for OB but otherwise light trauma volume

  • Comfortable self-scheduling and collaborating closely with peers to ensure coverage across both campuses
  • Candidates should appreciate the rural lifestyle and the freedom it affords professionally and personally

Schedule and Leadership Structure

  • Base schedule: 2 weeks on / 1 week off, with flexibility to customize
  • Self-scheduling model coordinated among CRNA team, with leadership support from a physician Medical Director of Anesthesia
  • Opportunity to participate in administrative development as the system continues to evolve

This position blends professional independence with meaningful collaboration, offering a rare chance to practice at the top of your license while helping shape a growing, rural health system. If you’re seeking a high-autonomy environment, flexible scheduling, and the chance to impact patient care across an entire region, this opportunity was built with you in mind.
