Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to attract experienced anesthesiologists who will play a pivotal role in establishing the hospital’s new in-house anesthesia team. This package provides exceptional earning potential, strong work-life balance, and long-term financial security while rewarding physicians for their expertise and leadership contributions.

Compensation Structure

Base Salary: $600,000 – A highly competitive, guaranteed salary.
Call Pay: $2,000 per shift – For any call shifts exceeding the required 35 per year.
Total Potential Earnings: $700,000+ – Depending on additional call.

The compensation model is structured to support financial stability while maintaining a sustainable workload.

Bonuses & Incentives

Sign-On Bonus: $300,000
$150,000 paid at signing
$150,000 paid at the start date

Time Off & Scheduling Flexibility

Paid Time Off (PTO): 10 Weeks (360 Hours) Per Year
Banked at the start of each contract year.
