Ochsner Clinic Foundation

New Orleans

Lead a new child-protection program in New Orleans.

Position Overview

Ochsner Children's is partnering with Jefferson Children’s Advocacy Center to grow thier child-protection program, and you would lead it. As the first fellowship-trained child abuse pediatrician at Ochsner in New Orleans, you would set the clinical approach, evaluate suspected abuse and neglect across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings, and partner with a state-funded advocacy center. The role includes dedicated research time, teaching, and a Monday-through-Friday schedule with no call responsibilities.

Healthcare System Overview

Ochsner Health is Louisiana's largest nonprofit health system and its #1 ranked hospital for 12 consecutive years. With 47 hospitals, 4,900 physicians, and a new medical school opening in 2027, Ochsner combines the resources and recognition of a major academic center with a physician-led culture that keeps clinical excellence at the center of every decision. It is the institution the Gulf South turns to for its most complex cases.

Community Overview

Live where jazz spills onto streets, world-class cuisine is Tuesday's dinner, and your $675,000 salary buys a Garden District mansion instead of a suburban starter home. New Orleans offers Ivy-caliber private schools, year-round festivals, and authentic community connections impossible in anonymous metros—all while building real wealth, not just managing debt.
