Recruitment Process and Comprehensive Benefits for Physicians

Once we determine your interest, we will submit a portfolio to Ochsner consisting of a cover letter, CV, board and license verification and a required disclosure form. You will have an initial call with the regional physician recruiter, Morgan Aymond, and a follow-up call with Dr. Christopher White, the Director of the John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute.

If that goes well, you and your significant other, if appropriate, will be invited to come in for an onsite interview that would include a community tour. Assuming that goes well, you will receive a sample offer, outlining the terms of the agreement, within 1-2 weeks. Once you sign the sample offer, you should receive a formal three-year renewable contract within two weeks.

Compensation will consist of a competitive guaranteed base salary ($550k-$600k), based on experience, a sign-on bonus, four weeks of PTO, 8 holidays, one week of paid CME, and relocation bonus. After the 1st year, you will start earning production-based compensation (90% RVU and 10% quality). Ochsner provides an occurrence-based malpractice policy that includes tail insurance.
