Sammy Khatib, MD, MMM, earned his medical degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI in 1999. He completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington D.C, where he also was Chief Medical Resident. He went on to do his fellowship in Cardiology at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA., where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. He then pursued additional training in Electrophysiology at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. His interest is in management and radiofrequency ablation of complex arrhythmias.
Chris White, MD, is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Cardiology for the Ochsner Clinical School and is Medical Director for the Centers of Excellence and Service Lines, Medical Director for Value-Based Care, and is the System Chairman of Cardiovascular Diseases for Ochsner Health. Dr. White graduated from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1978, and completed his training in Medicine and Cardiology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco (1978-1983). Following his active-duty military service, he joined Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans in 1988 as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories. In 1994, Dr. White was named Medical Director for Invasive Cardiology for HealthCare International Glasgow, Scotland, and in 1997, returned to Ochsner as Chairman of the Department of Cardiology. In 2007, Dr. White was named System Chair for Cardiology and Medical Director of the Cardiovascular service line. He was named the Ochsner Physician Executive Leader of the Year in 2015. In 2022, Dr. White was awarded the John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute's Career Excellence Award. Dr. White continues to see new patients in Interventional Cardiology, including those with coronary, carotid and peripheral vascular disease.
