Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the pediatric surgery team, including surgeons, fellows, residents, and support staff
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to enhance patient safety, quality of care, and surgical outcomes
  • Collaborate with other medical departments and specialists to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care for pediatric surgical patients
  • Oversee the section's clinical activities, including surgical procedures, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and consultations
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering excellence in pediatric surgical education
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations, to advance knowledge and innovation in pediatric surgery
  • Represent the pediatric surgery section in hospital committees and external professional organizations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies related to pediatric surgical services 

Qualifications: 

  • Board certification in Pediatric Surgery
  • Experience in performing a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures
  • Proven leadership and administrative skills 
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and clinical excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to teaching, mentoring, and advancing medical education in pediatric surgery
