The urology program at Pella Regional is built around a single, highly productive employed urologist who has served this community for his entire career. The practice culture is autonomous and collegial. Administration provides strong operational support while giving physicians the freedom to manage their own clinical environment. Physicians across the organization tend to stay; long tenure is common and reflects a culture that respects provider autonomy and work-life balance.
The University of Iowa Urology Center (UCI) has provided visiting robotic and complex case coverage at Pella Regional, with their last date of service in May 2026. The UCI team includes Marcy Covert, ARNP and physicians Trevor Wild, MD; Ryan Dornbier, MD; Gregory Larsen, MD; and Richard Glowacki, MD, all of whom practice at Pella Regional as UCI affiliates. Their departure creates the primary volume opportunity for the incoming physician, including robotic cases and select complex surgical volume that UCI has been handling.
The incoming urologist joins a well-staffed facility with strong interprofessional support across surgery, the ED, and primary care.
The incoming urologist inherits a mature referral base. Primary care providers feeding the urology practice include:
