Your practice will be based at Providence Sierra Campus, part of the Tenet Health system’s network in El Paso. This is the health system’s high-acuity hospital, intentionally designed to manage complex cases with robust specialty coverage. Unlike smaller community facilities, Sierra houses programs in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, structural heart, neuro-intervention, and orthopedic spine—placing you at the center of a hospital recognized for advanced surgical care.
The facility operates 14 modern operating rooms, supported by a brand-new sterile processing department and state-of-the-art surgical equipment. First-assist support is available through a combination of hospital-employed and community surgical assistants, and anesthesia is fully staffed with physician anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and AAs employed through Tenet’s TPR network. Imaging and interventional radiology (IR) are provided through on-site radiologists partnered with RadPartners.
From an infrastructure perspective, Sierra Campus offers everything needed to support a high-volume spine practice: reliable ICU staffing, robust perioperative nursing leadership, and seamless rehabilitation pathways. Patients often begin in the ER, continue through surgery, and then transition to inpatient rehab or outpatient therapy within the same system, creating a continuum of care that enhances outcomes and builds loyalty to the network.
The hospital is part of Tenet’s long-term investment in El Paso, with plans for expansion—including a new medical office building on the east side and continued growth of service lines. For a spine surgeon, this means practicing in a facility where leadership is not just filling a vacancy, but strategically positioning orthopedics and spine as core growth areas.
