Quincy Public Schools  

The community recently passed a $89 Million dollar bond to build 5 new elementary schools. The project was completed in 2019.

Programs Offered Include

  • Robotics team starting in the 6th grade 
  • S.T.E.A.M. program starting in Elementary school
  • Yearly goal setting program, to help kids have a focus and accomplish goals 
  • AP Classes 
  • Nationally competitive music program 
  • State championship level high school sports programs 
  • All kids are tested in the 4th grade for musical preference and encouraged to learn an instrument  

Quincy Notre Dame High School

Quincy Notre Dame High School is accredited by AdvancED, the State of Illinois and the Springfield Catholic Diocese. Annually, about 98% of Notre Dame graduates enroll in college programs. The school follows a traditional liberal arts curriculum of language arts, fine arts, mathematics, the sciences, foreign languages, philosophy, and theology. 400 students grade 9 – 12 with a student: teacher ratio of 20:1.

Quincy University

QU is a private and Catholic liberal arts college located in Quincy, IL.

It was founded in 1860 and enrolls approximately 1,500 students.

  • 100% of their students engage in community service.   
  • 90% of their students a placed in a job or in grad school within 6 months of graduating.
