Future Growth/Strategic Plan

  • Hospital at Home – Introduced in 2020. This is a developing option for patients to receive hospital care in their homes and is complementary to the small-format hospital.
  • 25 Bed Small-Format Hospital – Certificate of Need was approved by the state of Illinois. Projected Completion in 2024. QMG has ~110 patients in the hospital on any given day, so they plan to treat lower acuity patients with shorter lengths of stay in our hospital. High efficiency, high patient empowerment, engagement, and satisfaction, with a focus on quality, cost and experience. This will be a not-for-profit organization and not eligible for shareholder profit sharing.
    • Birth Center – innovative alternative for healthy low-risk pregnancies and complements a traditional hospital delivery.
    • Physicians may still be seeing patients at both hospitals, depending on the specialty, as the QMG Hospital does not provide trauma-level care and does not include ICU beds.

Blessing Hospital is the current hospital location that the surgical specialties will have privileges. Many will continue to have privileges here after the small format hospital opens for complicated surgeries and deliveries.

  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Licensed for 350 beds
  • 9 OR’s with daVinci Robotic System
  • OB Unit
