SCL Health Medical Group is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. With locations throughout Colorado, Montana and Wyoming, we offer a wide variety of primary and specialty care services.
We are dedicated to educating thriving and engaged health professionals while serving our communities through high-value, whole-person care.
At St. Mary’s Medical Center, we’re happy to tell you about us: our compassionate caregivers, our clinical excellence, our award-winning care and even our beautiful campus. But it’s really all about you. Our patients and families are the center of every thought, communication and action that takes place in this healing space.
St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, the largest medical center between Denver and Salt Lake City, is committed to putting people first. Serving the healthcare needs of western Colorado and eastern Utah for nearly 120 years, St. Mary’s is a faith-based, nonprofit provider and part of SCL Health, a nonprofit faith-based health system with 8 hospitals, more than 150 physician clinics, and home health, hospice, mental health and safety-net services primarily in Colorado and Montana. Founded in 1896 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, St. Mary’s has a rich history of serving the many needs of its community, from advanced medical care to charitable giving.
We reveal and foster God's healing love by improving the health of the people and communities we serve, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Inspired by our faith, we will partner with our patients and communities to exceed their expectations for health.
What does this mean for patients?
As an SCL Health patient, you will still access the same excellent healthcare services, providers, and facilities. You will still have the same doctors and care teams you have today, and all insurance plans will continue to be accepted.
What does this mean for the communities we serve?
SCL Health and Intermountain Healthcare are already two of the nation’s leaders in providing better healthcare outcomes for lower costs. SCL Health has a proven track record of efficiency across Colorado, Montana, and Kansas and excellent quality, safety, and patient satisfaction outcomes — and Intermountain Healthcare has similar success in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. Combining their operational and clinical programs will strengthen that focus.
What does this mean for our providers?
You now have an even larger referral network and more resources, both financially and clinically.
