Understanding the Role

Vital Care in a Coastal Community

As an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or NP) in Homer, Alaska, you will serve as a cornerstone of urgent and primary care in a remote but deeply connected coastal community. Your role blends high-impact clinical service with lifestyle balance, providing care across South Peninsula Hospital’s clinics and hospital settings. Whether you're addressing acute needs in the urgent care clinic or offering continuity through family medicine services, your work will directly support a community that depends on reliable, accessible care. You'll operate within a flexible and collaborative environment that prioritizes community access and provider well-being.

This position exists to serve the urgent and primary care needs of Homer and its surrounding areas, a region where timely care is essential given the geographic distance from larger medical centers. Your practice will be diverse and dynamic, shaped by the full spectrum of community needs in a rugged, scenic environment where every patient encounter holds personal significance.
