Navigating the Clinical Component

Your practice in Rockwall combines clinic care, obstetrics, and gynecologic surgery. You will see a patient population that is 100% commercially insured and deliver in a new hospital overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard.

Support staff and virtual care assistants handle much of the documentation and coordination work. That lets you spend your clinic time with patients and finish your charts by the end of the day.

Patient Population and Services

You will care for women across all life stages, from prenatal care and delivery through menopause.

• Prenatal care and deliveries
• Well-woman exams
• Contraceptive management and family planning
• Hormone replacement therapy
• Gynecologic procedures, including hysterectomy and advanced laparoscopy
• Office-based procedures
• Minimally invasive and robotic surgery

Obstetrics and Inpatient Coverage

The practice averages about 20 deliveries per month. Hospitalist support is available to help with inpatient coverage and clinical needs.

Surgical Practice

You will have one dedicated surgery day each week for gynecologic cases, so surgery does not compete with your clinic schedule.

Clinic Support and Technology

Advanced Practice Providers

Two Nurse Practitioners work with you at the Rockwall practice. They manage appropriate visits so you can focus on cases that need a physician.

• Routine OB follow-up visits

• IUD placement and contraceptive counseling
• Gynecologic concerns and minor acute visits

Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Stella Mattina has two maternal-fetal medicine physicians available for high-risk consultations. They provide recommendations and specialized care, and patients return to you for ongoing management and delivery when appropriate.
