The main hospital for this position will be the Transmountain Campus which has a partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso, this new teaching hospital will establish the infrastructure to provide high-quality clinical care in northwest El Paso and southern New Mexico. The facility has a level IV NICU and features: 

  • (6) Neonatal Intensive Care beds
  • (2) OR(s) for OB - (8) for General OR
  • (6) Labor and Delivery Suites
  • (3) XI Davinci Robots

Even more, the 106-bed facility will establish a world-class training site for the area’s future health care professionals, positioning El Paso as a regional health care hub. The new Residency programs began in the year 2020 and will ultimately create up to 75 new Residency slots- a critical step towards the development and retention of physicians in our community. More specifically, this hospital, through its partnership with TTUHSC El Paso, will enhance educational training in specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, and surgery. Additionally, the hospital will offer conventional medical services.

The hospital offers extensive advanced health services to cater to diverse medical needs. These services encompass Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology Medicine/Surgery, GI Medicine, Gynecology/Surgery, Hematology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurological Medicine, Normal Newborns, Oncology Medicine/Surgery, Orthopedic Medicine/Surgery, Pathology, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Spinal Fusion Surgery, Urology Medicine/Surgery, and Vascular Surgery.

With its comprehensive facilities and focus on medical education, this new hospital is poised to make a significant contribution to the healthcare landscape in northwest El Paso and beyond.
