With a carefully managed patient volume of 18 to 21 patients during an eight-hour day—or 21 to 24 patients if you prefer a compressed ten-hour schedule—you will have the time to truly connect with each patient, address their concerns thoroughly, and practice medicine the way you envisioned during training. The scope of practice here offers genuine flexibility tailored to your interests and comfort level. Your panel will be family-friendly, welcoming patients of all ages, though pediatric care remains optional rather than mandatory. If you enjoy women's health, you can incorporate pap smears, biopsies, and related services into your practice. Minor procedures lasting five minutes or less—from skin biopsies to simple in-office treatments—add variety to your clinical day without overwhelming your schedule. When patients require complex procedures or subspecialty expertise, Wellstar's extensive regional network of specialists stands ready to accept referrals, allowing you to focus on what you do best.

Call Coverage That Respects Your Time

One of the most striking features of this opportunity is the call structure—or more accurately, the lack of burdensome call. You will participate in a phone-only rotation shared across 25 providers, translating to just two to three weeks of call responsibility per year. Even during your call weeks, a triage nurse screens all incoming calls before they reach you, eliminating routine questions and ensuring you only address issues that genuinely require physician input. There are no hospital admissions, no after-hours clinical duties, and no middle-of-the-night trips to the emergency department. Your evenings and weekends remain yours.

  • Patient Volume: 18–21 patients per day (8-hour schedule) or 21–24 patients per day (10-hour schedule) once fully ramped
  • Call Structure: Phone-only rotation across 25 providers; maximum 2–3 weeks per year

The clinic is also implementing in-office lab draw capability, further enhancing convenience for your patients and reducing the friction that often accompanies outpatient care.
