An In-Depth Look into the Healthcare System

Mercy Hospital: The Heart of Regional Cardiac Innovation

As the clinical home for your heart failure practice, Mercy Hospital stands as the cornerstone of the region’s advanced cardiac care. Located in downtown Buffalo, this 350-bed Level I Trauma Center anchors a multi-site cardiology network and will serve as the central site for the new Heart Failure clinic. With nine recently renovated cath labs and two dedicated EP suites, the facility has invested heavily in cardiac technology—making it a launchpad for programs in LVAD, shock team coordination, and transplant readiness.

Mercy is more than bricks and bandwidth—it’s a place where physician leadership is welcomed, and innovation is nurtured. You’ll be supported by an experienced clinical infrastructure, including a high-acuity cardiac stepdown unit, a cardiac intensive care unit, and streamlined imaging and diagnostics integrated into daily workflow. With plans to designate dedicated clinic space within the hospital, your patients will benefit from on-site continuity and comprehensive support.
