Your clinical work will blend high patient volume with efficient workflows, allowing you to focus on delivering meaningful care rather than navigating bottlenecks.
In clinic, you will serve a diverse population with a wide range of urologic needs, from straightforward diagnostic evaluations to advanced disease management. The existing team has created a streamlined system that allows you to walk into each exam room with everything prepared, enabling you to see patients efficiently without compromising quality. With thousands of backlogged referrals and multiple surrounding communities sending patients to DMC, your clinic will fill instantly and remain consistently busy, with the flexibility to modulate your pace based on personal preference.
Your procedural and operative experience will be just as dynamic. DMC offers four dedicated urology OR days each week, and high-volume surgeons regularly operate in two rooms due to the efficiency of OR leadership and staff. You will have full access to three Da Vinci Xi robots, and if robotics is part of your skill set, you will immediately take ownership of robotic case volume—an essential need for maintaining trauma designation and a major growth opportunity. Whether your practice leans toward bread-and-butter urology, robotics, or complex endourology, the hospital invests readily in the technology you need, with a recent history of approving major acquisitions such as new lasers, disposable scopes, and specialized platforms.
Call responsibilities are balanced, well-supported, and financially significant. You will cover a minimum of ten call days per month, compensated at one of the highest call rates in the country. ER colleagues are respectful and thoughtful with consults, and true overnight call is light thanks to clear admission criteria and strong relationships between services. Optional additional call at a nearby partner hospital allows you to dramatically increase income while maintaining a manageable workload.
