As the Medical Director for this established clinic in Winnemucca, Nevada, you will step into a leadership role that blends clinical care with administrative oversight in a balanced and rewarding way. This position is designed for a physician who thrives in both direct patient interaction and guiding a seasoned team of advanced practice providers. With an 80% clinical and 20% administrative mix, your days will be structured yet flexible, giving you the autonomy to decide how best to support your patients and your staff.

The clinic is a trusted healthcare hub for the community, serving gold miners, their families, and the broader population with a combination of primary care and occupational medicine services. Your leadership will be critical in shaping the patient experience, ensuring high-quality care, and mentoring providers in a collaborative, team-focused culture.

You will oversee two nurse practitioners, conduct chart reviews, and serve as a resource for clinical decision-making while maintaining your own panel of patients. This role also includes signing off on standing orders, overseeing lab operations, and ensuring compliance with clinical policies. Your guidance will be essential in helping the clinic meet its goals and grow sustainably as a stand-alone facility with its own dedicated medical director.

  • Balanced schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM with administrative time built into your day
  • Leadership role overseeing two experienced Nurse Practitioners and a multidisciplinary team
  • Service mix: Primary care, occupational health, and walk-in visits for all ages
  • Key responsibilities: Chart reviews, provider mentorship, signing standing orders, lab oversight
  • Patient volume: Approximately 12–14 patients per day, with manageable walk-in support as needed
  • Reporting structure: Direct collaboration with the clinic manager and nurse supervisor
  • Compensation: $325K–$345K base salary, $50K sign-on bonus, $15K annual bonus, plus annual merit increases
