St. Vincent Healthcare delivers compassionate, quality care to the people of Montana and Northern Wyoming, as it has for more than 115 years. In addition to 11 primary care clinics in and around the Billings area, they offer several progressive specialty services. St. Vincent even has a special “hospital within a hospital” just for children, St. Vincent Children’s Healthcare.
St. Vincent is a Catholic, 286-bed, not-for-profit system that is one of the region’s largest healthcare providers. SVH and its clinics are part of the Intermountain Healthcare System. Intermountain and SCL Health merged in 4/2022. SVHC serves the healthcare needs of more than 800,000 people in a four-state area. St. Vincent Hospital has a service area that includes the city of Billings in Yellowstone County which has a population of about 150,000. The St. Vincent Healthcare System in Montana includes hospitals in Miles City, Butte, and Billings, and is quite successful, and very stable financially.
The hospital campus is beautiful and very easy to navigate. The main hospital and the medical office building are connected by a series of bridges (all indoors) that run across the street. A new state-of-the-art hospital is being built on the site of the current campus and is slated to open in 2026.
We are also continually recognized as a technological leader in the healthcare industry. The EMR is epic.
