Position Overview

Understanding the Role

A Rare Blend of Autonomy, Purpose, and Adventure

In this role, you’ll practice as a fully independent Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, supported by a collaborative team yet empowered to lead your own cases. This isn’t just a job — it’s a mission-driven opportunity in a region that deeply values its healthcare providers. You’ll play an essential role serving the entire state of Alaska, including its large Native population, where your skills directly impact underserved communities. Unlike many urban roles where CRNAs are heavily supervised, here you’ll enjoy autonomy in a high-functioning, respectful team of 28 CRNAs and 10 anesthesiologists.

The practice setting offers both complexity and balance. You’ll rotate through hospital and surgery center cases while working a stable weekday schedule. With flexible shifts, a manageable call burden, and a guaranteed salary, the position promotes both clinical excellence and quality of life. This is a rare chance to pair career growth with Alaska’s unmatched natural beauty — all while knowing you’re making a difference.
