Position Overview

Step into an exceptional OBGYN practice where your expertise will be valued from day one

As you consider joining Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial, you'll find a unique opportunity to build your ideal practice in one of the nation’s fastest-growing and most desirable communities. Unlike many positions where physicians struggle to build a patient base, you'll step into a thriving practice with immediate patient volume due to the strategic reallocation of physicians to a new facility.

This rare combination of established practice with growth potential offers both immediate stability and long-term opportunity in a premier healthcare system.

The position exists within Baylor Scott & White Health's employed physician network, giving you the security of Texas's largest not-for-profit healthcare system while practicing in a collegial, physician-centered community hospital environment.

What truly distinguishes this opportunity is the perfect balance of autonomy and support—you'll have the freedom to shape your practice while enjoying the resources and infrastructure of a premier healthcare organization.

Your Practice Will Include:

  • A balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology, tailored to your interests and expertise
  • Approximately 15+ deliveries per month (more if desired)
  • One dedicated surgery day per week for gynecological procedures
  • Three clinic days seeing approximately 22 patients per day
  • Access to cutting-edge procedures including vNOTES and Acessa fibroid treatment
  • Opportunity to utilize the Da Vinci Xi robotic system

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial requires board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology along with Texas medical licensure. While experience is preferred, exceptional new graduates will also be considered.

Your week will include 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of protected administrative time, with the clinic closing at 2:00 PM on Fridays for better work-life balance.

You’ll Be Joining:

  • A collegial team led by Dr. Harper, a respected physician with over 25 years of experience
  • A practice poised to grow back to six physicians over time
  • A supportive hospital administration that values physician input
  • A clinical staff with low turnover and deep institutional knowledge

Call responsibility is shared equitably among providers. Weekdays cover your own patients; after-hours and weekends follow a rotation aimed at 1-in-5 call. An OB hospitalist service staffed by 12 local physicians covers unassigned patients, reducing burden.

Your clinic is located in a medical office building connected to the hospital. It features:

  • 15 exam rooms
  • 2 procedure rooms
  • 2 sonography rooms
  • Private physician office with three dedicated exam rooms and a medical assistant

What sets this opportunity apart is the physician-centric culture. Leadership actively seeks physician input, and collaboration extends across administrative and clinical teams.

Since acquiring the hospital in 2019, Baylor Scott & White has driven a remarkable transformation—achieving top quality rankings, enhancing patient satisfaction, and becoming a clinical innovator. Your practice will benefit from this momentum and strong community reputation.
