At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial, you'll be joining a practice anchored by Dr. Harper, a highly respected obstetrician-gynecologist with over 25 years of experience in the Frisco community. Dr. Harper has been the foundation of women’s health services at Centennial, with deep community connections and a thriving practice.

As a physician who has chosen to remain at Centennial while some colleagues transition to a new facility, she represents the hospital's enduring commitment to the local patient population.

Dr. Harper brings expertise in obstetrical care and preventive services, averaging 25 deliveries per month and focusing on evidence-based practices and ACOG guidelines. Her gynecological care emphasizes contraceptive options such as IUD placements, often preventing the need for surgery—a model new physicians can build upon.

The Current Physician Staffing Situation Presents a Unique Opportunity:

  • Previously staffed by six physicians
  • Four physicians are transitioning to a new Baylor Scott & White facility at PGA Parkway
  • Dr. Harper remains at Centennial, planning to rebuild the practice
  • The vision is to grow back to 5–6 physicians at the Centennial location
  • You’ll help shape the culture and direction of a rebuilding practice

The clinical support staff at Centennial is exceptionally stable and experienced. Each physician is assigned a dedicated medical assistant—Dr. Harper has two. The front desk team manages scheduling and communication efficiently, while ultrasound techs and clinical coordinators support patient care and follow-up.

The Nursing Staff Is Distinguished By:

The surgical team includes experienced OR nurses, scrub techs, and support staff who are well-versed in vNOTES and Acessa procedures. MD anesthesiologists are always in-house for labor epidurals and surgeries.

In the labor and delivery unit, a team of experienced obstetrical nurses ensures quality care in fetal monitoring, labor, and postpartum support. Nursery and NICU nurses provide specialized care when needed.

The hospital’s leadership fosters physician engagement. Chief Medical Officer John Smith, PA, and Chief Operations Officer Eric Beshires, MD, incorporate physician input into operational decisions, ensuring that clinical voices are heard at every level.

The OB hospitalist program consists of 12 local physicians who manage unassigned patients and offer backup. This group includes community obstetricians and Baylor-employed physicians who sometimes take shifts for additional compensation, fostering strong local relationships.
