Position Overview

Understanding the Role

Collaborative Outpatient Cardiology Practice

As a General Cardiologist at Bozeman Health, you'll join a dynamic, data-driven practice where your expertise will be immediately valued in serving a rapidly growing patient population. With Bozeman's significant expansion and aging demographic, your skills will help address the increasing demand for cardiac care in southwest Montana, allowing you to build a thriving practice from day one without the burden of call responsibilities.

You'll experience the professional satisfaction of practicing in a structured environment where outpatient and inpatient responsibilities are clearly delineated—the interventional cardiologists handle all inpatient care and STEMI call, allowing you to focus exclusively on your outpatient practice. This arrangement creates a balanced lifestyle rare in cardiology while still providing comprehensive cardiac care to the community.

  • Outpatient-only practice with no current call responsibilities
  • Immediate patient volume of 10-15 patients daily from your first week
  • Four-day workweek with one weekday off, providing exceptional work-life balance
  • Clinic hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, with preparation time beforehand (most physicians arrive by 7:30 AM)
  • Strong referral base from primary care, emergency department, and regional providers
  • Service area of approximately 175,000 people throughout southwest Montana
  • Collaborative team environment with a focus on evidence-based medicine

Academic Environment with Cutting-Edge Approach

  • Young, academically-oriented team of cardiologists all board-certified in echocardiography and cardiac CT
  • Collaborative learning environment supportive of recent graduates and early-career physicians
  • Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and clinical excellence
  • Regular participation in diagnostic reading rotation, enhancing your interpretative skills
  • Opportunity to shape the future direction of cardiovascular services
  • Potential for development of specialized interests within general cardiology
