Bozeman Health’s NICU is supported by a dedicated and collaborative team of healthcare professionals who prioritize patient-centered care and teamwork. The unit is staffed with highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) who provide 24/7 in-house coverage, playing a pivotal role in patient management, including admissions, procedures, and discharges. The NNPs work closely with pediatric hospitalists and the attending Neonatologist to ensure a seamless and high-quality care experience for both patients and families.

The unit’s culture emphasizes shared ownership of patient outcomes, with all team members contributing to the development and execution of individualized care plans. This collaborative approach fosters an environment where every professional is empowered to bring their expertise to the forefront, ensuring that the highest standards of neonatal care are consistently delivered.

Physician leadership plays a critical role in the NICU, driving clinical and cultural advancements as the unit prepares to transition to Level III care. The team’s commitment to growth and excellence is evident in its proactive approach to staff development and readiness for expanded responsibilities. Training and education initiatives are designed to equip the clinical team with the skills needed to care for younger and more medically complex patients as the NICU evolves.

The NICU’s supportive and team-oriented culture has contributed to strong staff engagement and low turnover rates, making it an ideal environment for healthcare professionals seeking a stable and rewarding practice. Physicians joining the team will find a group of colleagues who are passionate about neonatal care and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
