Physician Recruitment Process and Compensation Overview

Central Peninsula General Hospital structures physician compensation to reward production. The ENT position is designed to target the 90th percentile of MGMA total compensation through a base salary plus work RVU incentive model. A key feature of this structure is that RVU incentive earnings begin with the first patient, with no production threshold to clear before bonuses activate.

For physicians who prefer additional income stability while building their practice, a second compensation option is also available. This model provides a guaranteed starting salary set at approximately the 75th percentile of MGMA, allowing time to ramp up patient volume. Once fully established, physicians have the option to transition into the productivity-based model designed to reach the 90th percentile of MGMA earnings.

Call Expectations

ENT call will be no more than 10 days per month. Additional details regarding the specific call structure and coverage model can be clarified with the client during the interview process.

Financial Proforma Analysis

A full financial proforma model requires a confirmed base salary and RVU conversion factor. Neither has been provided for this position. The proforma will be completed once those figures are confirmed by the client. The compensation framework is consistent with how Central Peninsula has structured other surgical specialty placements, where physicians producing at even modest RVU levels reach the 90th percentile target relatively quickly.
