Call duties are shared on a 1:2 schedule, ensuring continuous medical coverage. While APPs provide overnight coverage for the hospital and ER, the Family Medicine physician may need to assist via telephone consultations. The physician will serve a diverse patient population that spans all age groups, reflecting the community’s broad healthcare needs. With a payor mix heavily skewed towards Medicaid and Medicare, the role is crucial in delivering accessible and high-quality care to underserved populations. Clinical services include routine family medicine, emergency stabilization, and procedures such as suturing.
