The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist at Coal County General Hospital (CCGH) in Coalgate, Oklahoma, will be integral to the hospital's clinical operations, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. The APP will collaborate closely with Dr. Helton and registered nurses, ensuring seamless delivery of healthcare services in both inpatient and emergency settings. The hospital serves a low-volume patient population, typically handling around five patients per day, with a maximum of eight on particularly busy days. The patient demographic spans all age groups, reflecting the healthcare needs of the local community. The APP will be responsible for a range of services, including general inpatient care, emergency department coverage, stabilization, and transfer coordination for critical cases. Additionally, the APP will be responsible for admitting patients and completing their charts promptly, ensuring comprehensive and timely documentation of patient care.
The position involves a consistent weekly schedule of 48-hour shifts from Wednesday evening (6:00 PM) through Friday evening (6:00 PM). Additional weekend shifts may be available if the APP desires extra work, providing opportunities for increased earnings and flexibility. The hospital utilizes the Thrive EMR system by TruBridge, ensuring efficient documentation, patient tracking, and integrated care management across all hospital services.
