Delivering Quality Care in a Critical Access Setting

As a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), this facility is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining a low patient-to-provider ratio. With a 25-bed inpatient capacity, the hospital ensures each patient receives personalized attention, while also efficiently coordinating higher-acuity transfers to regional partners in Billings, MT. The hospitalist program, now fully in-house, offers improved stability, provider satisfaction, and seamless patient continuity.

Hospitalist Program & Inpatient Care

The hospitalist program was previously managed by Sound Physicians but transitioned to an in-house model to enhance provider retention and operational consistency. The team includes three full-time hospitalist physicians and two full-time APPs, ensuring balanced coverage. The 1 physician–1 APP model during daytime shifts promotes strong collaboration, while telemedicine providers handle overnight coverage, eliminating overnight call responsibilities.
