Position Overview

Understanding the Role

Essential Role in a Collaborative Anesthesia Model

As a CRNA in this tightly integrated hospital-employed anesthesia group, you will become an indispensable part of a high-functioning team that balances autonomy with robust clinical support. Your role is central to the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care across a range of services. From the moment you step into the operating room, you will be the primary provider for cases, working alongside physicians who value collaboration and who function as resources and mentors rather than micromanagers.

You’ll find yourself in a professional culture that emphasizes mutual respect, shared responsibility, and intelligent scheduling. The environment fosters both clinical excellence and personal well-being, allowing you to work at the top of your license without the burnout common in overextended hospital systems.

Fulfilling a Vital Community Need

The anesthesia group is integral to a hospital serving a broad regional community, with high demand for procedural and surgical care. Your expertise will help meet an ongoing and growing need for anesthesia services in a rural area where thoughtful resource use is matched by a collegial spirit. The service area includes OB, general surgery, and some orthopedic trauma, with CRNAs providing epidurals and participating in emergency support.

  • Hospital-employed anesthesia group with a team of 2 MDs and 4 CRNAs
  • MDs follow a 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off schedule and provide backup call
  • CRNAs provide primary epidural coverage and emergency backup
  • Position created to expand to three OR rooms on select days

Qualifications That Match Your Strengths

The position welcomes CRNAs with solid regional skills and a comfort level in OB and light pediatric cases. While pediatric volume is currently low, the ability to manage basic pediatric patients is important as part of the skill mix.

  • Active CRNA certification and eligibility for licensure in the state
  • Comfort with OB anesthesia and epidurals is essential
  • Pediatric anesthesia skills (for ages 4 and up) preferred
  • Team-oriented professionals who value autonomy with support

A Schedule Designed for True Work-Life Balance

One of the most attractive aspects of this opportunity is its unique schedule. While structured around a 2-on/2-off model, flexibility exists between the MDs and CRNAs to adjust based on personal needs, ensuring sustainable work-life balance. When you’re off, you’re truly off—no call, no hospital responsibilities, just time to recharge and enjoy life.

  • Two weeks on, two weeks off—26 weeks off annually
  • Full-time schedule with no additional PTO (time off is built into model)
  • Complete disengagement from duties during off-time

Supportive Reporting and Leadership

You’ll report within a flat, physician-led hierarchy where cooperation replaces micromanagement. This model fosters mutual respect and day-to-day collaboration, while allowing space for professional independence.

  • MDs serve as both clinical leaders and collaborators
  • CRNAs are viewed as independent practitioners and essential team members
  • Flexible schedule coordination encouraged among peers

Relocation Support to Ease Your Transition

To support your move, the organization offers relocation assistance to help you settle comfortably into the community. Whether you’re coming from across the state or across the country, this benefit is designed to ease the logistical and financial challenges of relocation.

  • Relocation assistance available (amount to be determined)
  • Intended to encourage community integration and long-term residence
