Delivering Quality Care in a Critical Access Setting
As a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), this facility is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
while maintaining a low patient-to-provider ratio. With a 25-bed inpatient capacity, the hospital ensures personalized
attention for each patient, while efficiently coordinating higher-acuity transfers to regional partners in Billings, MT.
The hospitalist program, now fully in-house, has been restructured for stability, provider satisfaction,
and seamless patient continuity.
Hospitalist Program & Inpatient Care
The hospitalist program transitioned from Sound Physicians to an in-house model to improve provider retention and
operational consistency. The team includes three full-time hospitalist physicians and two full-time APPs, offering
balanced coverage. A one physician–one APP daytime model enables strong collaboration, while
telemedicine providers handle overnight coverage, removing the need for overnight call.
