This hospital-employed OBGYN position offers an exciting opportunity to practice in a high-volume, well-supported clinical setting. The balance of OB and GYN cases allows physicians to tailor their practice to their interests, with a strong preference for OB-heavy providers.

Labor & Delivery Unit

  • 6-bed Labor & Delivery (L&D) Unit with 2 dedicated ORs
  • Level II 8 Bed NICU staffed by Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
  • Dedicated CRNA support for labor and delivery procedures
  • Immediate access to Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
  • Advanced fetal monitoring and centralized patient tracking
  • We have three triage beds and 4 outpatient testing beds.
  • 25 or so Labor and Delivery nurses. We staff 5 RN’s and a first assist, a scrub tech on the day shift.
  • Night shift has 4 RN’s and a scrub tech and a baby advocate.
  • We see low risk to a limited prenatal care eclamptic. Some of our mothers are drug users.
  • We have two lactation specialists during the week, and one on the weekend.

Physicians in this role will deliver patients at 32+ weeks, with an average of 100+ deliveries per month at the hospital. The hospital-employed laborist covers the last 14 nights of each month, reducing on-call demands and enhancing work-life balance.

Gynecologic Services

  • Minimally invasive GYN surgery opportunities with the DaVinci Xi Robot
  • Outpatient and inpatient GYN procedures
  • GYN call shared with team members for a balanced workload
  • Dedicated surgical block time available

The hospital provides comprehensive women’s health services, including high-risk pregnancy care, routine and advanced gynecologic procedures, and access to state-of-the-art surgical technology.

Outpatient Clinic & Patient Volume

  • Established referral network of 100+ primary care providers
  • Plans to relocate OB services to a dedicated women’s health clinic
  • 200-250 deliveries per year per physician, 25% C-section rate
  • 75% OB focus preferred, with the option for 50/50 OB-GYN mix

Staff

Physician Team

  • Six experienced OBGYN physicians, including long-tenured team members

Advanced Practice Providers & Support Staff

  • Three Nurse Practitioners (NPs) currently on staff, with plans to hire more
  • Dedicated CRNAs available for labor and delivery procedures
  • Full-time case managers and behavioral health counselors
  • Four International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) on staff
  • 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) attending deliveries and providing NICU support

Each physician works closely with an NP, allowing for better workflow management and enhanced patient care. The hospital also provides dedicated support for high-risk pregnancies, diabetes education, and behavioral health services, ensuring comprehensive patient care at every stage.
