Understanding the Role

Leading Neurosurgery in the Great Lakes Bay Region

Step into a high-impact role where your surgical skillset can transform lives in one of Michigan’s busiest neurosurgical programs. At Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI, you will join a respected team of four board-certified neurosurgeons and three dedicated APPs providing advanced brain and spine care in a community-driven, hospital-employed setting. With new operating rooms, state-of-the-art equipment including a brand-new Medtronic O-arm, and Epic EMR, your practice will be both modern and efficient from day one.

This full-time role is designed with lifestyle in mind. You’ll have autonomy over your schedule, typically balancing two clinic days and 1–2 dedicated OR days each week. Call is shared in a 1:5 to 1:6 rotation and taken from home, ensuring a sustainable work-life rhythm. Whether you’re early in your career or seeking a new leadership track, this opportunity offers the platform to make a meaningful difference while enjoying long-term career growth in a collegial environment.

You will serve a broad regional population, with referrals from 20 counties across northeast and central Michigan. As the only neurosurgery group in this region, patient demand remains high with robust support from a full spectrum of specialties. You’ll be stepping into an established service line, where collaboration with hospitalists, critical care, PM&R, and neuro-intensive teams enhances continuity of care and clinical excellence.
