The clinical environment at Eisenhower Medical Center is built for a GYN Oncologist who wants broad surgical volume, meaningful subspecialty collaboration, and access to research without the administrative weight of a large academic system. The practice sees a balanced mix of oncologic and complex benign gynecologic cases, giving physicians genuine variety across their week.
The practice currently performs 20 to 25 surgical cases per month across two dedicated OR days per week. Approximately half of the volume is gynecologic oncology and half is complex benign gynecology. Minimally invasive surgical approaches are a priority, and candidates with strong MIS skills will find consistent opportunity to apply them.

|---|---|
| Call Structure | Shared with Dr. Mark Jennison |
| Benign GYN Call | Not required |
| Labor and Delivery | Covered by experienced OB hospitalists |
| After-Hours Messaging | NP support available |
Call responsibilities are described as manageable. OB hospitalists staff the labor and delivery unit, which significantly reduces middle-of-the-night disruptions. The nurse practitioner assists with after-hours patient communication, keeping after-hours demands reasonable.
Eisenhower maintains an active clinical trials program within its cancer center. The new physician will have access to ongoing trials and the opportunity to expand participation over time. The practice also collaborates with UC San Diego on tumor boards and complex cases, providing an academic connection without a full academic appointment.
