Family Practice with Obstetrics
- Full time position – Mon through Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
- 1:8 Call
- Providers can be flexible with sharing patients. If a provider prefers to deliver all their own patients, that is workable. Otherwise, the deliveries are done by the on-call provider.
- The rotation goes from Mon (AM) – Friday (PM)
- Friday (PM) – Mon (AM)
- No Minimum Patient Volume
- 40 min – New Patient Visits
- 20 min – Established Patient Visits
Scope of Practice
- Family Medicine with Obstetrics
- No high-risk deliveries
- Vaginal Deliveries Only – No c-sections or surgical practice
- C-sections are referred to the St. Luke’s OB/Gyn Group. The FPOB can be at the c-section and assist.
- Two of the FPOB’s do circumcisions. An incoming physician could do those, but it is not a requirement.
- The number of Deliveries/FPOB varies. They have some delivering 8-12 babies per month and others delivering 2-5 per month. It depends on the provider and how busy they want to be.
