Lead the buildout of Eastern Oregon's next regional cancer program. As oncology programs in Pendleton, La Grande, Walla Walla, and The Dalles have closed or scaled back, Good Shepherd Medical Center is investing in a new 12,000 sq ft Cancer Center and recruiting the oncologist who will help design it. Base salary of $700,000, Medical Director stipend, productivity bonus at $105 per RVU above a 600 monthly threshold, no call, four-day workweek, and no non-compete.
There is a clear gap in coverage for cancer care in northeastern Oregon, and Good Shepherd is building to fill it. The health system is breaking ground on a new Cancer Center that will include an expanded infusion suite, an onsite pharmacy, and a linear accelerator for in-house radiation therapy. Patients are already traveling to Hermiston from much of eastern Oregon and parts of Washington.
You will practice alongside Stephen Iacoboni, MD, Farnoush Abar, MD, and Cannon Milani, MD. A full-time oncology nurse practitioner provides continuity when the contracted physicians are remote. Hospital-employed primary care generates a steady referral stream.
