At Good Shepherd Medical Center, you’ll join a passionate and experienced care team committed to delivering patient-centered cancer care in an evolving regional program. This is a highly collaborative environment where physicians, nurses, and support staff work together to streamline care and enhance outcomes for patients navigating complex hematologic and oncologic conditions.
Your physician colleagues will include Dr. Stephen Iacobani, a veteran in the field with a strong focus on hematology, and two contracted oncologists: Dr. Abar and Dr. Milani. Dr. Abar will be onsite one week per month and remote the next, while Dr. Milani will be onsite just a few days each month. A dedicated oncology nurse practitioner provides additional continuity for patients and handles a high volume of hematology cases, especially during periods when contracted physicians are working remotely.
Support staff includes one medical assistant per provider, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The hospital plans to add a second nurse practitioner once a new full-time oncologist is hired, reinforcing the practice’s commitment to comprehensive care. Infusion center staff, radiation techs (as that program grows), and interdisciplinary support from hospice, palliative care, and surgery further bolster your practice.
