The oncology team is small and collaborative, anchored by a senior physician with deep hematology experience, two contracted oncologists covering a mix of onsite and remote time, and a full-time nurse practitioner who holds the practice together between rotations.

Nurse Practitioner

Susan Damico is a full-time oncology NP supports the team year-round and:

• Carries a high hematology caseload
• Covers oncology patients when contracted physicians are working remotely
• Provides continuity for patients between physician rotations

Support Staff

• One medical assistant assigned per provider
• Dedicated infusion center nursing team
• Pharmacy, imaging, and surgical teams embedded within the hospital

Planned Additions

Good Shepherd plans to add a second oncology nurse practitioner once a full-time oncologist is hired, increasing clinical capacity as the new Cancer Center opens.
