Clinical Component

Navigating the Clinical Component

At Ivinson Memorial Hospital, you'll practice in a 100% outpatient Internal Medicine setting designed to maximize physician satisfaction and patient care quality. This carefully structured practice environment allows you to focus entirely on what matters most—providing exceptional care without the demands of hospital rounds or inpatient responsibilities.

Your daily practice will include comprehensive primary care services such as chronic disease management, wellness visits, and preventive care. With a target of 16–18 patients per day, you'll have the time for meaningful patient interactions while maintaining efficient workflow—ensuring high-quality care without feeling rushed.

Practice Structure

  • Dedicated Clinical Space: 2–3 well-equipped exam rooms with modern facilities
  • Personalized Support: Dedicated medical assistant and nursing support for rooming, vitals, and documentation
  • Collaborative Team: Work alongside Dr. Tyler Gallo, DO, and NPs Robin Kurtis, FNP, and Molly Adami, DNP
  • Seamless Workflow: Team structure supports efficient movement between patients and comprehensive care delivery

Patient Population

You'll inherit an established and growing patient panel in a community with high demand for primary care. New patients currently wait 2–3 months for appointments, ensuring immediate viability and long-term practice stability. The population primarily consists of adults needing chronic disease management, preventive care, and general internal medicine services.

Clinical Support & Resources

  • On-Site Diagnostics: Convenient lab services located in the hospital adjacent to the clinic
  • Imaging Services: Integrated access to hospital X-ray and imaging departments
  • Robust Referral Network: On-site podiatry, urology, general surgery
  • Visiting Specialists: Cardiology and pulmonology visit multiple times monthly
  • Hospitalist Coverage: Inpatient care fully managed by the hospitalist team

Procedural Expectations

There are no required procedures, making this ideal for physicians preferring a traditional outpatient model. However, procedural flexibility is available for those interested in incorporating them into practice.

Call Expectations

  • Frequency: 1:12 rotation (approximately once every three months)
  • Duration: One week at a time
  • Nature: Primarily medication refills and minor concerns
  • Volume: Minimal after-hours calls—most physicians report barely noticing call weeks
  • Support: Clear protocols for after-hours management

Electronic Medical Records

The clinic uses EPIC, a leading electronic medical records (EMR) system. It streamlines documentation and facilitates team coordination. Integrated with hospital diagnostics, EPIC ensures real-time lab & imaging access and reduces administrative tasks.

Quality Metrics & Practice Development

Ivinson Medical Group encourages a collaborative approach to quality improvement and practice efficiency. Physicians are invited to contribute to practice development initiatives in a supportive environment that values input and continuous care enhancement.

This opportunity allows you to reconnect with the core of medicine—delivering thoughtful, comprehensive care in an environment that respects and supports both patients and providers.
