James S. Jelinek, MD, FACR

Dr. Jelinek has chaired the department and served as President of Center Radiology since 1999. He is a Fellow in American College of Radiology, reviewer for the American Journal of Roentgenology and serves on the Executive Committee of the D.C. Metropolitan Radiology Society.

Mimi Novello, MD, MBA, FACEP
President and Chief Medical Officer, MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital

Dr. Mimi Novello is the President and Chief Medical Officer for MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with direct responsibility for and oversight of the hospital’s day-to-day operations, as well as providing a comprehensive clinical vision and medical direction to ensure delivery of the highest quality healthcare services.  

She also serves as Senior Vice President of Columbia, MD-based MedStar Health system.  

Dr. Novello joined the MedStar Health System in 1999 as an attending physician in the emergency department at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore. She most recently served as the hospital’s Vice President of Medical Affairs.  

Under Dr. Novello’s leadership, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for MedStar Franklin Square improved from a grade-C to grade-A. She also led the implementation of hospital information technology platforms, including MedConnect.
