MedStar St. Mary's Hospital is a full-service community hospital with 126 licensed beds, which delivers state-of-the-art emergency, acute inpatient and outpatient care.
Our clinic has 19 exam rooms and 2 ultrasound machines. We do in office colposcopy as well as IUD insertion and removal. We have rooms for non-stress tests. Our providers typically see up to 24 patients per day for just OB and 18-21 for a combination of OB and GYN. We plan to expand the office space (within the building) as we add to the practice to accommodate for MD’s and Midwives’. Our new OBGYN will get their own medical assistant for their clinic practice.
We have 5 LDRs, 11 Post-Partum Rooms with 2 swing beds, 3 Triage Rooms, and an OR in the Birthing Center. Our Labor and Delivery unit has a C-section suite within the unit. The anesthesiologist or CRNA is in house 24/7 and has a sleep room. Our facility does VBAC’s. Pediatricians will attend on C-sections and at the request of the OBGYN. Our hospital has a newer DaVinci Xi robot.
The OBGYNs have a group block of OR time, on Monday and Thursday, on a first come, first serve basis. We have in-house anesthesia and CRNAs for epidurals. Our midwives serve as the surgical first assist. MedStar St. Mary’s leads all MedStar facilities in OR turnaround times.
