The academic title will match your experience, and you'll have the chance to educate HEM/ONC fellows to your desired extent.

We offer a substantial portfolio of 250 clinical trials to enhance patient outcomes. Be supported by a team of advanced practice providers (APPs) and leverage our support.
The oncologist covers call 2 weeks at a time (3 times a year at all facilities) Hollings Cancer, North Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. Residents take tfirst call- only on call on service which is 6 weeks a year on service. As more oncology providers are added the call will be reduced weeks. The inpatient service is covered by hospitalists.
There is APP in infusion suites to assist. The physician is involved (physician coverage before and after infusion days for patients which is 1-2 days/ month till 6pm). A new NP in Breast Oncology will be starting Monday 8/14.
Volumes: An average of two new patients in a half day (10-12 patients overall in a half day). The physician can see 16 patients a day on average if the candidate desires.
Schedule: M-F with 8am-5pm clinic hours : Monday-clinic, Tuesday- half day clinic, Wednesday- research in office, Thursday-half day clinic, Friday-clinic day
Tumor Board is 1.5 hours Tues AM
The department has several needs and will consider 2023/ 2024 availability with experienced physicians and new graduates.
