My Michigan Medical Center – Sault, joined the My Michigan family in 2022 and was formerly known as War Memorial Hospital. We are a Level III Trauma Center as of 2019. The facility has 49 bed (all private rooms), 900+ employees, volunteers, and providers.

History of Group / Practice 

  • Serving Eastern Upper Peninsula for more than 100 years
  • Affiliated with the University of Michigan Health
  • 1892 – hospital established in current location
  • 1924 original hospital building completed
  • 1985 – moved from county-owned to non-profit corporation
  • 1989 – oldest wing of the hospital was razed
  • 2019 – became a level III trauma center
  • 2022 – War Memorial Hospital joined MyMichigan Helath as its tenth Medical center and was renamed MyMichigan Medical Center Sault
