Currently the team consists of 3 OBGYNs and 1 Midwife, however one of the OBGYNs is looking to wind down and retire which is what has caused the need to have a new provider join the team and enjoy the transitional assistance of the outgoing provider when you come on board.
Sault Ste Marie, while a smaller sized community serves their community by providing over 340 deliveries annually with a bread-and-butter OBGYN also willing and able to utilize robotics. The C-Section rate at Sault Ste Marie is approximately 27% with an epidural rate of 64% and a cut off for deliveries of 35 weeks, however we will deliver unless safety dictates a transfer. While a smaller sized community the Primary Care Draw area is 85,000 patients. Call is 1 in 4 with a back up call rotation for complex deliveries when the Midwife is on call.
