Role Description: This position involves providing comprehensive outpatient neurology care, focusing on patient-centered treatment plans. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop and lead programs in sub-specialties such as epilepsy, headache, and general neurology. The incoming provider will have the ability to build a 50% general neurology and 50% subspecialty practice, including sleep.
Practice Setting: The practice is based in an outpatient clinic at National Jewish Health, with close collaborations with nearby hospitals, particularly St. Joseph's, for specialized care.
Qualifications: Required qualifications include a medical degree and board eligibility or certification in neurology. Additional training or fellowships in sub-specialties like epilepsy or headache are highly desirable.
Administrative Responsibilities: The candidate may have up to 20% of their FTE dedicated to administrative duties, including program development and team leadership.
Work Schedule: The position offers a standard workweek of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no on-call responsibilities or weekend work.
Position Type: This is a full-time role aimed at replacing a previous neurologist who specialized in neuromuscular disorders. The anticipated ramp period will be very quick as the current neurologist, Dr. Jinny Tavee, is scheduling patients 5-6 months out. The incoming provider will have a full schedule with 60-days.
