Ochsner is looking for both a staff Oncologist and Medical Director to add to their Oncology Team in Baton Rouge. They opened a new Cancer Center in 2019 and the need is continuing to grow, along with the Oncologist team. This would be a 100% outpatient role and you’d have the support of a dedicated inpatient oncology team and the necessary subspecialties.

There is an opportunity to specialize, with patient volume ranging from 15-20 per day with a dedicated MA per physician and one APP for every two physicians. There is a need for additional staff due to a 4-week waitlist for new patients and a Leader for their comprehensive cancer care team. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, with 36 hours per week for patient care and 4 hours for administrative duties. The Medical Director role would be 50% clinical and 50% administrative.
