Highly collegial group consisting of general Orthopedics and Orthopedic sub-specialties. Support staff includes an MA in the clinic and dedicated RN for injections and educating patients. There are 4 dedicated OR suites with negative pressure and laminar flow, with two dedicated Surgical 1st Assistants with Orthopedics experience and the RN has a lot of knee, shoulder, and elbow experience. They also have an MA. OR and clinic are in the same building.
There are MACO and Depuy robotics available for those who want them. There are 3 Physical Therapists, and 4 PTAs dedicated to our Orthopedic/Sports Rehab program. We have Jackson Tables and two portable C-Arms in the Ortho ORs. We have dedicated Anesthesiologists for call and a Nurse Anesthesiologist as well.
You will have 2 clinic days, 2 surgery days, and 1 combo day. We have block scheduling. General Orthopedic call is shared and paid, 1:4 weekdays and citywide 1:6 weekends, $1000 per day. We have an integrated practice model with a strong internal referral network (Ochsner). We serve a 7-county region and draw from a 90-mile radius. We have reliable Hospitalists onsite 24/7. They admit trauma, but our Ortho docs admit their own totals and consult Hospitalists as needed.
