Ochsner Rush Health is the largest, most diverse healthcare system in East Mississippi and West Alabama. With a 105-year legacy of medical innovation, quality care and service to others, Ochsner Rush Health is comprised of 7 hospitals and more than 30 clinics, with 250 staff and contracted physicians and 95 advanced-practice providers.

Ochsner Rush Medical Center is a 215-bed acute care facility. Specialty care, facilities and services available at Ochsner Rush Medical Center include a Level III Trauma Center in the 24-hours-a-day, physician-staffed emergency department; the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 12-bed unit that offers a special quality of care for premature and high-risk infants; the Family Birth Center; the Diabetes Management Center; the GI Lab; the Joint Replacement Center; the Pain Treatment Center; Sleep Centers; Surgical Robotics; The Vein Center; and Senior Care – Intensive Outpatient Program.

In addition, Rehabilitation Services, housed in a 17,632-square-foot facility, earned recognition from Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO), a nationally recognized management system. Rehabilitation Services offers services that include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, aquatic therapy and a Reading Clinic.

The Cardiology Department, located in the hospital, provides cardiac care including prevention, detection, treatment and an array of noninvasive testing equipment and procedures, including treadmills, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, arrhythmia detection and pacemaker evaluation. Ochsner strives to provide patients in east Mississippi and west Alabama with quality care and services within easy traveling distances.
