You will join an established urology practice with experienced colleagues who understand the unique demands of serving a large, underserved patient population. The Ochsner Rush Medical Group urology team operates from 1800 12th Street in Meridian, where you will find physicians and support staff committed to delivering comprehensive urological care across East Mississippi and West Alabama. The practice culture emphasizes collaboration over competition, with colleagues who share call responsibilities fairly and provide thorough sign-outs to protect your personal time.

Physician Colleagues

The current urology team includes physicians with decades of combined experience who bring diverse training backgrounds to the practice:

• Mark Phillips, MD, completed his medical education at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1985 and finished his urology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1990. Board certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Phillips has practiced in the Meridian area for over three decades and offers virtual visit capabilities for appropriate patient encounters.
• Craig Robson, MD, trained at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, completing his degree in 2005. He completed general surgery training at Brooke Army Medical Center before finishing his urology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2011. Board certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Robson brings military medical training discipline to the practice and also offers virtual visits for Mississippi patients.
• Stanley A. Wade, MD, the senior member of the team, graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1969 and has served the Meridian community for approximately 30 years. Dr. Wade is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is currently planning his retirement, creating the opportunity this position represents.

Advanced Practice Provider Support

Your outpatient clinic operations will be supported by a dedicated nurse practitioner who handles significant patient volume independently:

• Charles "Chuck" Lafleur, FNP-C, completed his training at the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in 2019 and holds certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He practices urology full-time, managing routine follow-ups, post-operative checks, and appropriate new patient evaluations. This APP support allows the physicians to focus their clinic time on surgical consultations and complex cases requiring physician-level decision making.

Clinical Support Team

Beyond the physician and APP staff, you will work with a full complement of clinical support personnel who keep the practice running efficiently:

• Medical assistants handle patient rooming, vital signs, and preliminary history collection
• Registered nurses provide patient education, medication management, and care coordination
• Surgical technicians assist during OR cases at the hospital
• First assist support is available for complex surgical procedures
• Administrative staff manage scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient communications
