This Family Medicine opportunity offers an engaging and impactful role tailored to professionals seeking a balance between career fulfillment and personal well-being. The position is based in a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic operated by Premise Health in collaboration with Fieldale Farms, one of Georgia’s largest privately owned companies. This is a full-time, weekday role designed to maximize patient outcomes through a focus on quality care rather than patient volume.
Physicians in this role can expect a structured and predictable schedule, working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no night shifts, weekends, or on-call requirements. The clinic’s patient volume is intentionally limited to 12–14 patients per day to allow for extended visits and comprehensive care. Most visits are scheduled for 30 minutes, with wellness visits for non-English speaking patients allocated up to 60 minutes, ensuring ample time for thorough assessments and relationship-building.
The clinic primarily serves a workforce population, many of whom are employees of Fieldale Farms. Services provided focus on chronic disease management, preventative care, and acute treatment. Given the high percentage of Spanish-speaking patients (approximately 60%), candidates with bilingual proficiency in Spanish are highly preferred. Non-Spanish-speaking candidates are supported by bilingual staff and advanced interpreter services, although this is recognized as a less optimal model for long-term relationship-building.
Key qualifications for this role include:
• A medical degree with active licensure and board certification in Family Medicine.
• A proven ability to deliver patient-centered care, ideally in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Leadership potential, with the opportunity to assume the role of Medical Director within six months for candidates who demonstrate clinical excellence and alignment with organizational values.
This role is ideal for candidates at various stages in their careers. Early-career physicians seeking mentorship and long-term growth will benefit from structured support and opportunities for leadership development. For seasoned professionals, the position provides a chance to mentor others while being integral to shaping the clinic’s future.
Leadership Growth and Integration into the Community
A standout feature of this role is the clear pathway to leadership. The clinic seeks a candidate who is not only clinically competent but also aligned with its vision of deep community integration. The Medical Director role will become available within the next five years as the current director transitions toward retirement. Physicians who commit to understanding the needs of Fieldale Farms’ employees and demonstrate their ability to lead will have the opportunity to shape the clinic’s future.
The organization highly values candidates willing to immerse themselves in the local community. Historically, providers who establish roots in Gainesville or surrounding areas have achieved the greatest success, both professionally and personally. This focus on community engagement aligns with the clinic’s emphasis on patient trust, continuity of care, and employee satisfaction.
