As a fellowship-trained orthopedic total joint surgeon, you will step into a practice where demand already far exceeds current capacity. Patients across El Paso, southern New Mexico, and even neighboring Juarez are seeking care that the existing team cannot fully accommodate. With an established reputation in the community, the group offers you the opportunity to quickly build a thriving practice, supported by a steady stream of internal referrals and unassigned patients through the call system.
From your first 90 days, you will see immediate patient volume. The practice’s call center receives nearly 16,000 calls per month, many seeking hip and knee expertise. By taking a few days of call each month, you will not only expand your patient base but also establish yourself as a trusted resource in the community. Unlike markets where joint surgeons often struggle to break in, here you will inherit a backlog of need and quickly become busy.
The group is committed to bringing in a fellowship-trained total joint surgeon, ideally with experience in the anterior approach for hips, as patients increasingly seek this progressive, evidence-based procedure. However, strong candidates trained in traditional approaches will also be considered. Surgeons with an openness to revisions will find an additional source of growth, as current providers often defer these cases.
You will join a collegial, long-standing orthopedic group known throughout El Paso. Each surgeon brings a subspecialty focus, ensuring that cases are shared appropriately, and your skills in hips and knees will be welcomed. General orthopedic call is expected in the first years, both as a means of practice building and as a demonstration of teamwork.
