As the group's first electrophysiologist, you would be the primary locally based EP resource for patients in the Upland area. Your practice would combine a focused outpatient clinic with procedural time in the San Antonio Regional Hospital EP lab.
Volume is available from the first day. The group's own referrals currently go to physicians outside the community, and those consults would route to you once you join.

The group wants an EP with a full ablation and device skill set. Left atrial appendage occlusion is a high priority.

San Antonio Regional Hospital has three cardiac catheterization labs with Philips imaging equipment. One lab is EP-capable. The third lab is under construction to replace the hospital's one older room, which will bring all three rooms up to current equipment.
Your outpatient time is limited to three half days per week, which leaves most of your schedule for procedures and hospital work.
You would practice alongside cardiologists who cover every other major cardiology subspecialty. That gives you direct access to colleagues for co-management and referrals within the same practice.
